Cats and dogs caught an uncurable disease and humans turned to Lawn Moyer Robots as pets, and they took over the planet, and turned us into speechless slaves.

Guys these aren't new, Friendly Robotics has had one for several years. There are like 2-3 other companies out there making these types of mowers as well. As far as being stolen, well they have anti-theft deterrents which make them worthless if stolen. Granted I am sure someone could by-pass that, but at a minimum it's a deterrent. As far as being "GREEN" yea I am tired of the usage as well, but when compared to a gas mower, elec used to charge these things has less of an impact on the environment than gas mowers do. With all this info you would think I owned one, well I don't but will buy one when my Riding Mower goes out. Why? Cause I hate mowing the lawn.

As previously stated, these things aren't new at all. In the small community were I live in Sweden I can count ten of those. They had them for years. They are nice though, almost no noise. No worries about pets, these things are not that fast. But they do a great job. The people that have them have really nice lawns.

Not to be old man crazy but the reason you don't mow your lawn in the rain or when it's wet is not to protect the lawnmower but to prevent the grass from clumping...

Automower™ has several theft protection systems that may be activated. Most important: Automower™ cannot be used without the personal PIN code. The installation lock prevents Automower™ from functioning on any other installation than your own. The time lock requests your four-digit PIN occasionally to ensure the mower is still in the original owner's possession. The alarm requires the first digit of the PIN code to be entered when Automower™ is stopped – or an audio alarm will go off.

Pets usually respect Automower™ and give it some space. When they lie down to rest, for example, they tend to go outside of the Automower™ operating area. However, Automower™ is equipped with sensors which means that it reverses and chooses another direction if it runs into ‘objects’ such as pets. If it does collide with a pet, the contact is very light and unlikely to cause any damage.
