Backspace not working on my laptop

My backspace randomly stopped working yesterday and I'm not sure why. I have to have the OSK open just to use the backspace. Is there anyway that this can be fixed?

If you already checked the key to make sure nothing was stuck underneath it, try removing it and see if it works if you just push on the contact. If that does not work, you can find a cheap replacement keyboard in lots of places, eBay or Amazon for example.
