if they take WP7 as serious as they took Win7 for PC, they will indeed have a shakeup in the smartphone sector.

WP7 = Vista Pretty, but a lot of problems

Well Mango is 7.1, I believe. So it's possible that 7.5 will have a crapton of new features. Granted, many of them may be minor tweaks, but its good to see them hard at work on WP7. A lot of what is being developed here could also translate over to a future tablet variant of Win8 for ARM.
