My laptop is 100% charged, detects battery, but does not start without a power cord.
It does not boot on a battery and closes as soon as the cord is removed and it completely shuts down. My battery is detected and is fully charged. Please help if I have to change the battery or some technical problem.
Also, my laptop is under extended warranty and accidental damage.

Solution
yes replace it or have HP do it since it's still under warranty. HP is the better choice as a replacement non OEM battery you may buy cheap are not up to standard and rarely last long

But my battery is detected and fully charged. When I remove it from my laptop it says no battery connected. Should I replace my battery?
