Battery Not Charging

I am using Dell Inspiron 15 - 5559 i7 6th Generation. all of sudden battery was not charging and it was showing 0%.
1. alerted me with : The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined. The battery may not charge. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available.


Kindly help me how to overcome from above error.

That is most likely the problem. Dell is very strict with third-party parts. My friend had the DC power jack in his XPS 13 replaced by a third-party and had the same problem.

if the ac adaptor wires are twisted the brick may have gone bad from age. on the laptop make sure the power plug is not broken off. if it fine and a test ac adptore has the same issue then your power charging in the laptop may have failed from age.
