Battery not working

A cross sign appears on my battery icon when i remove the charging, shows error for battery replacement when i take my mouse on battery icon, also when I start the laptop at the begining it shows either battery charging is too low or battery is damaged. even battery is full but without power cable it shut down after a few minutes. Any thing I can do to correct it???

Use hwmonitor and post the results of what you get under the battery section of the program
