Battery replacement in new laptop

I currently have a Lenovo laptop which is 4-5 years old and the battery is dead, the problem is I can't get an original replacement in my country and I bought a "fake" version which isn't recognized by the laptop (already tried a few tips I've found on internet).

So now I'm about to buy a new one and I don't want this to happen again, which brands should I look for so in case I can't get an original battery I can make use of a "copy" ?
