HP Omen 1050 Mobile (4gb)
i7-770hq
860evo
8gb ddr4 ram

Has 30-40 on BF5

The weirdest thing about it, If I crank up my resolution to 1920*1080 (native), 1600*900, and 1366x768. or scale the resolution from 25% (iirc) to 100% It's still 30-40 fps.

What's pulling my rig down?

I have the latest nvidia drivers too and set everything to maximum performance with no self OC

No I'm not I should be though, I'll look for an app and get back to you

Hard to tell there, as it's not displaying detailed utilization of the GPU - but it is using ~95% on each thread of the CPU... so yeah, that's pretty much what I expected.

You are hitting high(ish) temps for a mobile CPU, but your temps should still be short of throttling.

Try turning UP the in-game settings, or cranking the resolution scale up.... Do you see similar framerates?

I tried cranking up my Reso scale to 150% instantly turned my fps into 20 but Low to Medium settings, I saw little to no change

Do you think upgrading my ram from 8g to 16g is gonna help me gain better FPS?

You'd have to monitor utilization (either in Task Manager, or something like MSI Afterburner.... I don't think HWMonitor can do it) to verify the kind of memory usage you're seeing in-game.

If Windows + BF5 aren't exceeding say 7GB, then moving from 8 to 16GB isn't going to help at all.

On the other hand, if you're routinely seeing a solid 8GB use and the system is having to go the HDD/SSD for "virtual memory", a huge degree slower........ then adding more can be beneficial.

What would you suggest that I monitor on MSI Afterburner to see what stresses my laptop?
