Not from people who know their stuff. Beats are heavily colored (the sound, not just the plastic), and are more of a fashion statement than a piece of musical gear.

Whenever I see the price of any beats headphone, I just move the decimal on place to the left to get the true value of their headphones.

If you were looking to get a pair of Beats headphones, then I'm sure $200 seems like an attractive enough price point. Trouble is that it's the same price I got my Sennheiser HD598 headphones for, and the disparity in sound quality could not be greater. That is the profitability and marketing advantage Beats has over bigger names in audio technology.
