Best 2.1 brand

im buyin to buy a 2.1 in a couple of days and im confused to go with which brand my choises are altech or sony....so can any 1 tell me which wud be a better option for my budget of 60$ to 70$...i dont need a huge volume speakers instead i wud preffer a speakers with an awesome base and moderate volume to enjoy music and gaming....waitin for suggestion's...

Altec lansing much more superior than Sony.Their bass is incredible than Sony's.Sony is a mediocre audio company .

depends on the individual models. i've seen some impressive speakers from sony for the price. the pair of sony tower speakers we have can fill a room with bass even unamped. i do agree that sony is in the middle range of quality. not the best, not the worst.

Between the two with that price range, like marv, I'd go with Altec Lancing. But check Eagle Arion because they do make good 2.1 speakers at that price range.

Go with cerwin vega which has very good bass.I never heard of eagle Arion at all.

What about these energy multi-media speakers? I have a set of energy 5.1 rc micros, and they are pretty nice.

Energy is a good speaker manufacturer and puts out decent bass.Also B and W is good also.
