Depending on what you do... the Surface 2 is actually pretty useful. Mostly for a student anyway. I guess that's a tablet. Just thought I'd mention it.

Also, if you're building a gaming desktop, that's fine. Too many people depend on one cheap laptop to be their sole computer and then it's catastrophic when it breaks down... as they almost always do.
