Old laptop is finally dying, need to upgrade to something newer. I want it to last a couple years so definitely looking for some good specs. Looking for an i7, 1080P display, 15.6", and a dedicated graphics card. Touch screen would be nifty. I'll be using it for basic tasks like excel and browsing, but also batch photoshop, emulation, and some gaming.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
1080P for sure, my 2009 laptop has 1600x900 so I'm not taking any steps back
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
a good mix of both, I'm not against a 6 pound machine but portability is nice
5. How much battery life do you need?
3.5-5 hours is enough, I'm never far off an outlet
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yes, I play a good mix of older games and newer games, running recent games at mid settings at a good speed is enough for me. PCSX2 and other emulators as well. Trying to get a GT740 or better
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Photoshop, Excel, heavy browsing, youtube, etc
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 750 gigs or so, I'd definitely love a 24gb boot drive

DVD rom is good, blueray a plus but not needed at all

I'm trying to decide between the Lenove Y510P (the deals change constantly) and the ENVY TouchSmart 15t-j000 Quad.
I like how the lenovo comes with the i7, 1080P, GT750 SLI, etc, have read some reviews going both ways on the laptop. Looks pretty sweet, will probably have to wait for a good sale to get the specs I want under $1100.
I configured the hp with i7/4700MQ, 15.6" 1080P LED display, GT740M, 16GB DDR3, Hybrid 1TB HD, backlighted keyboard, bluetooth. All for $934/free shipping. Sounds like good specs, touchscreen a plus, was hoping for GT750, and no DVD drive a bummer but no dealbreaker.
Any other contenders in this price range? I appreciate any and all answers. Purchase will be made in a week to ten days. Also, anything I can walk in and compare at Bestbuy or HHGregg is a plus, but not necessary.
