Best gaming headset (pc)

Hi, I currently have the Razer Tiamat 2.2 and I am not impressed. I just wanted to know a solid, good sound and mic quality headset. I am trying to avoid USB as I have a soundcard and would like to use it with it.

Yeah, that would be good, but I prefer just a decent one piece headset

Headsets generally have terrible sound quality compared to headphones. But if you must, there's the Skullcandy Slyr which is good. Another good one is the Sennheiser PC 161. Still, they won't match the quality output of the KRK 8400 + zalman/modmic.
