Best HTPC OS for streaming

In search of the perfect HTPC OS that does it all with minimal effort

So I’m currently using windows 10 in tablet mode for my tv streaming apps which great for its user friendly interface but I feel windows is lagging behind when it comes to app support. For example HBO now is only available on Xbox and from reviews it sounds terrible

Have tried a couple different platforms such as bliss os and remix but they seem a bit buggy are there any others that could work? Apple TV for pc??

The general, the "appliance" boxes like AppleTV/Roku are the easiest. Nothing to configure, just download and run like ur smartphone.

HBO only available on xbox? why would they do that, are they not serious making it widely available?
