I have about 1350 u.s dollars to spend and would like to get a better gaming laptop. I will be playing games like call of duty battlefield 3/4 and crysis and other first person shooters. I am looking for something very reliable also that wont need to be replaced for a few years (atleast 3). Also I decided to get a laptop because I will be moving my computer in a car every week. If you think I should get a desktop instead please tell me the best way to transport it without being damaged. Thank you in advance

MEMORY:16GB (8GBx2) DDR3-1600 SODIMM Memory [+89] (Corsair or Major Brand)...
Ya didn't give a lotta info .... i.e. screen size.... but doesn't matter much when machines are customizable. Id suggest a Clevo 150SM, 157SM or 170 SM http://www.lpc-digital.com/notebooks.html

Yeah, before ya even ask, yes, ya never heard of Clevo...

If you are more comfortable with "known names" like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Apple, Toshiba, Acer etc., you should be aware that they don't actually make laptops..... they but them from other people you probably never heard of either. The vast majority of laptops on the market are manufactured by a small handful of Taiwan-based Original Design Manufacturers (ODM's), lthough actual production takes place mostly in mainland China.

Quanta sells to (among others) HP, Lenovo, Apple, Acer, Toshiba, Dell, Sony, Fujitsu and NEC
Compal sells to (among others) Acer, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo and HP/Compaq
Wistron (former manufacturing & design division of Acer) sells to Dell, Acer, Lenovo and HP
Inventec sells to Toshiba, HP and Lenovo
Pegatron sells to Asus, Toshiba, Apple, Dell and Acer
Foxconn sells to Asus, Dell, HP and Apple
Flextronics (former Arima Computer Corporation notebook division) sells to HP

So yes, I'd rather deal with the manufacturer's distributor ... have been providing my users with Clevo's for about ten years now and have not as yet been disappointed.

I dont know what else to say. I geuss I would like to have 2 storage bays, a 1080p screen prefferable 17.3 inches. I would like something that has good build quality and would preffer a non glossy finish (fingerprints drive me crazy). Thats about it
