Hi
I was reading different reviews on internet for tha last 3 hors and I am so confused.
I am an architect and I will be using the laptop for
3Ds Max modeling.static modeling. No video making but complex scenes with lots of lights and materials which need to be rendered in huge dimensions.
Photoshop for composing my presentation tables,A1 and A0 size with lots of layers.
Autocad 3D.
I prefer to buy an HP since I was very satisfied with the other 2 old HPs I had.
My budget is around 550 $,I know it's not enough but this is what I can afford for now.
which parameters should I consider for CPU and graphic card and RAM?
I have several external disks and don't need the internal disk space to store files.
I don't care about battery life
I don't care about power consumption
I don't care about heat production
I don't care about gaming

thank you

I know that and I will buy a decent computer as soon as I can,for now I need to get a computer immediately because the old one has a problem and I can't use it anymore.
My question was what is the best I can buy with this budget? or maybe I should say 'the less worse'

ok then lets do it right, if you dont have a good VGA card for rendering , you should get more cores.

also you need 17 inch monitor and good resolution to work well.

for your budget , this is the best thing for you FOR REAL ..

YOU WERE TOTALLLLY RIGHT.
I had the chance to test a computer (the low budget one) and it is terrible.rendering a simple scene takes for ever.
So I sold my old plotter (if I can't make models what would be there to plot?right?) and now I have about 800-900
sorry SNA3 to bother you twice.you helped me avoid throwing my money away.thank you
Let's talk about the best thing 900 $ can buy.
To the second question: yes unfortunately I live in italy.you can't believe the brutal method they use to block imported goods.they apply an 80% tax on anything.just an example:
last christmas my uncle send me a pair of heavy snow boots from Australia as a gift.price around 150$. they blocked it at the airport for months, made me pay taxes and at last I received the SNOW booths at a price of 250 $ on 16 MARCH.
so..I have to buy everything here :p
I DECIDED TO GET A DESKTOP.I CAN GET IT ASSEMBLED IF NEEDED.SO EVEN SEPERATE PARTS WILL DO.
This is the best site for actual prices in italy. www.trovaprezzo.it
600 Euro = 800 Dollar
700 Euro=920 Dollar
I would like to spend 800 on the computer and 100 on monitor+keyboard+mouse
Will any of these models do?
http://www.trovaprezzi.it/categoria.aspx?id=1&libera=desktop&page=290&sort=Prezzo&sortdir=0

if you see a blank page with red text in italian after you click on a product that's because the site is connecting you to the main shop's site,it takes 3-4 seconds max.

There is no possible way to get a quality 3-D rendering laptop for under $1,500 USD. You're budget should realistically be between $1,400-$1,700 USD.
And just so you know, if you "don't care" about "heat-production," that means you don't care about how long the laptop will last.

This would be a good choice:
