Its almost pointless to by the extreme end processors, especially when you are not making money (in school) from your modelling work. A 3820 is the highest I recommend you go, the extreme end processor listed here is $600 more and it will be a grand total of less than 10% faster. the ram is likewise $422 when you can buy and install it yourself from newegg for $180 or less. It would make much more sense to add an SSD instead and it will make the computer generally more responsive.
