Best Laptop for Student

I'm looking for a good laptop around $1000. I've been doing research for the last couple of days and found a laptop I really like that has all the things I need except it has a battery life of 2 hours. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314852

I want a laptop that with similar specs to this, but I don't need a great graphics card. I need the laptop for programming and school work.

Specs I need:
16gb ram(interchangeable)
1TB harddrive
SSD Slot(I have a 512 I want to put in it)
15.6-17.3in screen
Intel core i7

Any recommendations would be amazing!

The nitro is great laptop at the price point and I highly recommend it. If you can work with rebates Msi apache is awesome laptop as well.

I dont need the good graphics card though. I want something that has good battery life so I can work on it at school. Gaming laptops like that have the discreet graphics card so they only get like 2 hour battery lives. I already have a gaming desktop so I just need the laptop for school.
