I am looking to buy a new laptop but i dont know which one is the best so i need some help.

-i would like a computer under 800$
-it also needs to be slim
-it also needs to have a clock speed of at least 2.8ghz

The Asus UX305FA uses an Intel Core M 5Y10 CPU which is basically less powerful than a Core i3 CPU. It also has a max clockspeed of 2.0GHz and would be less powerful than a Core i3 running at 2.0GHz.

The least expensive ThinkPad X250 and Surface Pro 3 only has a Core i3-5010u (2.1GHz) / Core i3-4020Y (1.5GHz). Therefore, getting the model with the Core i5 CPU will increase the price.

If you are okay with spending up to $900 (excluding shipping & tax), then upgrading the ThinkPad X250 with a Core i5-5200u (2.7GHz) CPU or selecting the Core i5-4300u (2.9GHz) version of the Surface Pro 3 would be fine.

For $900 you can also consider the 13.3" Dell XPS 13 with a Core i5-5200u CPU. The "Infinity Display" has very thin bezels which makes the Dell XPS 13 close to the size of a 11.6" laptop even though it has a 13.3" screen. The RAM cannot be upgraded (similar to the Surface Pro 3), but it is possible to upgrade the SSD later on (unlike the Surface Pro 3).

Note that the Surface Pro 3 does not include a keyboard so that will add another $125 - $150 to the cost of the SP3.
