Hi, I want to by a Lenovo Ideapad 320 laptop, I know there might be other topics similar to my question, but I'm asking this because I've not found the most precise answer to it. So please help me:

If I am to use it frequently, is it better to use it plugged-in all the time? Or I'd better remove the battery and use it when I'm on the go? Can this Ideapad laptop be used while directly plugged-in and in removed battery status? Or it can just be used while the battery is there? May someone please help me?

You can use a laptop without the battery as long as it is connected to the power brick and an outlet. but if the plug comes lose at all by just enough your system will turn off and can damage files and the OS even.

My recommendation? Use it on battery until it gets low then plug it in and use it while it charges and then unplug it again when the battery is full to keep the battery in working order.

But you can use it without the battery in it as along as you make sure that the power cable never comes loose.

Thanks dears for your great answers, my other questions are:

Is there any software solution to force laptop use direct power instead of physically taking out the battery? Or the only solution is to physically take it out?

And because manufactures see us customers as money (and may lie because of getting more money), I can't trust answers that are on their forum, so another question is:
To make the battery life as long as possible, should I charge it 0% - 100% or is it better to do something like 15% - 90%? And also can using the laptop while being charged damage the battery?

15-90%.
Unless you are doing enough on the laptop to cause enough drain so as not to cause overcharging while using it and charging at the same then yes, it can cause damage to the battery and hurt the battery life over time.

I don't believe the battery on the Ideapad 320 is even removable, short of dismantling the thing. If that's the case, then you probably won't be swapping it in and out on a regular basis.

Yes, you are right, I thought my friends here are aware about it, but I googled and I found it can't be swapped easily because I need to open the bottom side... My question here is that:

When it is fully charged to 100%, does the charger adapter automatically stop charging it? If not, will keeping the device plugged-in damage the battery? I read on the Lenovo forum, there is some kind of utility application that keeps the battery charged at 60%. Will this kind of applications help keep the battery healthy? Or is it just an advertisement?

The overcharging prevention is all done with the connection inside of the laptop that you plug the cable into. if it wasn't designed to stop charging at 100% or enable passthrough where the PC just gets all it's power from the adapter and no electricity passes into the battery then you can get overcharging and that can damage the battery and it's charge capacity as well as lifespan. So turn it on and charge it to 100% and look at the little icon for it and see if it stops showing the charging symbol. If the symbol goes away then you can leave it plugged in while using it or 24/7 in general. If it continues to show a charging symbol then in order to save your battery from damage you need to be unplugging it when it is charged up and using it on battery until it gets low and then plugging it back in.
