Best windows tablet for the money

Hey guys,

I am looking at buying a windows 8 tablet to use for my uni lectures and workshops. Basically I need a computer/tablet to do HTML website design and java programming on. Battery life is very important as I don't want to suddenly run out of battery at uni so at least 8-9 hours of battery life. I'd like it to be very portable and easy to use. I don't not need anything amazing, as I have a high end desktop I built and a MSI GE60 (terrible battery life) so I need something basic that's capable of being a uni tablet/convertible!

IF money is not an issue I would get the Microsoft surface 2 pro. very fast for a tablet and what I like ab the surface is full usb 3.0,micro sd slot,1080p, and 10 hour battery life... but that is just my sugestion

People haven't even been able to get 6 and a half hours of battery life and they are so over priced... I'd go with the old one because the price has dropped
