BIOS Corrupt/ Black Screen?

I have an Acer Aspire M5 583P laptop and through a series of unfortunate events (OS installation error) my laptop has become unusable. Whenever I start the computer it starts normally but it remains at the Acer logo (the press f2 for BIOS or f12 for boot options) and it just stays there. If I click on f2 at the start, I am asked for my BIOS password but after I enter it I get a black screen and it stays there as well. No matter what I do I end up with a black screen. I am so lost and scared that my laptop has become corrupt and useless. How can i fix this??

Get with Acer support on the phone... their support is horrid.... but go there.
