Bios update fail

I was updating my laptop Bios unfortunately my laptop shutdown and when I turn it on tells me reboot or select proper boot device am confused guys am going to lose my projects

Need more information, what laptop model and exactly what happened. Proper boot device means it cant find your HDD. If your laptop shuttdown after updating 100% that is normal procedure. You can go bios and check boot drives and select your ssd/hdd which you usually boot from. Check sata mode is right (achi probably)

It's not detecting a drive with Windows (or whichever OS you had). Probably a setting was changed during the flash. We'd need more info to guide you, e.g. make & model of laptop.
