Bitdefender 2015 shutdown

How do i completely shutdown bitdefender total security 2015 not just disable the antivirus. I also want to disable it launching on startup.

Hold Windows key + run
In the box the pops up, type "msconfig"
Go to the startup tab
Uncheck bitdefender, apply, and then restart the system.

If you're looking at just running the antivirus portion of it, I would do as Eduard suggested by uninstalling the program, then re-install; selecting only the antivirus.
