Black and distorted screen on my samsung TV

A couple of weeks ago my TV started displaying a black and distorted screen, as seen here: http/i.imgur.com/7o5lCh2.jpg?1. I was wondering if anyone knew what the source of the issue is and if it can be repaired. The model is LE40A656A1F.

I personally haven't tried anything to fix it, I simply moved it to my bedroom and put the bedroom TV in the living room, as I did not have the time to deal with it until now. Hopefully someone can help me.

Your TV looks the right age for this problem. The capacitators go bad, and the picture goes. Total junk. I had to toss a set that was just out of warranty. I won't buy another Samsung.
