Black lines on screen

my laptop( acer aspire 5050) has a 3 black lines down it they look a bit like cracks but they aren't as they get bigger when i touch them. what are they and who do i get rid of them?

Sounds like a few rows of your pixels went bad. might have to replace screen to fix.
