I own HP PAVILLION 15- n012tx running on Intel i5 processor with 2GB Nvdia Gt 740 M graphic card and a 1GB dedicated intel graphic card.
It's been around 2 years since I have been using this laptop and it works perfectly, but the issue I have having is that whenever I want to run anything on Nvdia graphics card, it gives me black screen.
Like when I want to run photoshop or illustrator, it gives me just a black screen like it has disabled my art board(I can see my toolbox and panel) and when I switch to my Intel graphic card it works fine.
Similarly when I want play any game like Gita or firewatch I get black screen on Nvdia and when i run them on Intel its works fine. The programs do process in background but I can't see them while they are running over Nvdia graphics card.
Any fix?

Hi,

Please do try doing a clean install of the graphics card driver that may help in solving the issue.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics card driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot, set Nvidia as the default GPU.
- Here's how: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2615/~/how-do-i-customize-optimus-profiles-and-settings%3F
- If these steps will still not work, I would suggest reinstalling Windows.
