Black screen on startup Lenovo Y530

I just bought a Lenovo Y530 gaming laptop and i let it charge and then turned it on the the keyboard lit up but the screen is still black. I’ve tried pressing f8 and shift together then the power button. Still nothing. Any help?

Unplug it from the ac, take the battery out for a minute, plug the battery back in , and now turn it on.
Otherwise; Take it back in the morning.

I agree, no new device should give you any problems. Take it back.
