Black Screen Problem

I have an my Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4030 laptop and every time I turn it on the screen remains black. The modem turns on and so does the power light, all of them light up but nothing appears on the screen. What can I do to fix this problem?

hello there i would suggest with a problem like that there is something wrong with your screen. its possible that a cable from the screen to the motherboard has become detached, i would suggest trying plugging up the laptop to a monitor and see if you get a picture that way to verify its your screen, the onlky other thing i can suggest is that you ask for help in the laptop tech support forums hope this helps
