Blackberry can works on normal data plan

Is blackberry bold 9700 can run what's app without special bb data plan.? I am thinking to buy blackberry but bb plan is too high for me. If what's app and other social app can used in normal data plan without using special bb plan

Should be able to. Whatsapp runs off any cellular data plan or wifi. If Blackberry offers a normal data plan, then Whatsapp should run.
