How do you hook up an old Bose Lifestyle 28 with a Samsung Series 9 using a Digital Optical cable

Connect the optical cable and select that as your input on the Bose.
You may have to turn the optical output on, the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type in the TV audio menu to get it to work.
