Wow, tell your kid receiving nude photos is bad, but more importantly, tell him the stranger on the other side could have terrible intent. Getting rid of he xbox doesn't solve shit.

Only in America do we have:
1. Mothers not taking any responsibility of their children
2. Religious fear of naked people
3. Parents expect society to take full responsibility of their children
4. Killing people is OK, but nudity and sex is major problem

It's pretty clear on the XBOX box (before you even play it), "not responsible for online content". Also has same warnings on the games. Maybe if the Parent bothered to really give a rats ass about his/her kid, she could spend sometime understanding what he/she is playing.

WTF is wrong with America? Too many folks being feed crazy religious "values" -- kill = good (especially non-christians), nudity = bad -- geeeez.

[citation][nom]mhughes81[/nom]What do you expect to happen when you let a video game console that is hooked up to the net babysit your kids?[/citation]

Why do people think that as soon as the kids do something that does not involve their parents that the parents are bad and just trying to find a "babysitter" Are you telling me your parents sat next to you and held your hand during each online excursion or evertime you went to the mall etc?

[citation][nom]brianfulcher15[/nom]if your child is to young to see a naked person, then they are too young to be playing mmo games on xbox live...[/citation]

Kids see a naked person every day, unless they never bathe? your statement makes no sense, it would imply that a 17year old should not be on Xbox live because they can not legally look at porn.

Why do people seem to want to shelter their kids longer and longer from the real world instead of preparing them for it?

I don't have a 360... or will ever care about it.
(I do have a PS3)

I don't have kids, but if I did, I would care about protecting them from predators, with that said I would never sign a stupid petition about "no porn", it is the parents responsability to oversee what their kids do (or might be in contact with).

game consoles are like any computer, and there are parent controls
precisely to protect your children, but you cannot blame microsoft because YOU don't use this controls.

this also apply to DVD/Bluray players, TV's etc...

Isn't the first and won't be the last. If your child is 11 I don't think he should even be on XBL anyway - most games there are rated T or higher.

This doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the boy's actions, the reality is there are "predators" out there and if the parent doesn't take the time to lock down the parental controls, they are open to such exposures. I've filed XBOX Live Complaints on other players who have "posed" their genitals for the camera when they've been taken down in Burnout Paradise, the only response to such behaviour is to file a complaint and to kick that individual from the game, and system.

Wonder if it was worse than the public schools showing kids about that age how to put a condom over a banana and the rest of the government sponsor sex education they keep trying to teach on younger and younger children.

Man, these kids have it easy today, people just sending them porn? When I was 11 or so and wanted porn, my friends and I would have to search the construction sites near our neighborhood. I dont think it was much longer after that that I was introduced to local BBSs for porn. Some of the local BBSs were hooked to the interwebs and gave us access to IRC and usenet. Nothing like downloading porn one individual picture at a time on a 2400baud modem. Havent looked for porn on a construction site since. Ymodem-G for life!

Without porn we would have rape. I think porn is the better alternative.
