I have an older Yamaha RX-V420 receiver, can I bridge my speaker connections on that receiver?

Nobody has an answer for my question about bridged connections? Please help...

The answer is no; the amps are not bridgeable.

For future reference amps can't be bridged on any AVR that I know of.
On some AVRs you can set 4 amp channels as front and if you have speakers with biwire terminals use two amps for each speaker after removing the connection between the terminals of the speaker.
