Broken power button.

It's unlikely to be able to "map" a key via software or anything, as the keyboard generally needs a power input before it's enabled.

Is the button physically broken? Or do you suspect a loose connection somewhere? Should be easy enough to fix a loose connection and, depending on the model, a replacement power button install shouldn't be overly difficult.

Thanks for the quick reply,
The power button is physically broken, and the plastic piece fell out of the housing. The only way is to power the laptop on is by poking a screwdriver into the rivet and pressing the tiny button. I know this is not a very good practice, as this won't last me very long.

P.S.- The laptop model is an Acer V5-573 (2014 Model) which I've tried searching for the base, as the power button comes fitted into it, and I've no luck.
