Broken screen...can\'t use...what screen can I plug in to work

my Acer was dropped and screen is broken...what or how can I plug in another screen?

Have a spare external monitor you can attach?

Most laptops have a vga or other port on the back or side to plug an external monitor in. Then in the monitor settings you would switch to external monitor. This all possible as long as you have another monitor or tv.

yes I have an external monitor....I tryed to attach but can't get it to work...Is there something I need to switch on the computer?

Yes and I plugged it in and won't let it connect......do I have to do something to my computer to make the switch???

Check your laptop manual and see if there is an Fn+key combo to switch to an external monitor.
