I own a 10 months old DELL latitude 7480.

I needed more disk space so I replaced the OEM 256GB Toshiba HDD card with a new Samsung 512GB, 970 EVO NVMe M.2.

The laptop works Ok and is fast enough with the new card but it produces regular BSOD (blue screens of death).

At the beginning the error message was :

IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal

and after we replaced some drivers with new versions (dropbox), that seemed to cause the problem it stopped producing this error and the new error during crash is :

Bad_Pool_header.

Could it be a compatibility issue of the card with the 7480 ?

Any other advice.

Thanks in advance

I assume you reinstalled your OS(after creating a bootable installer using Windows Media Creation Tools) after you switched onto the NVMe drive? If not you may want to do that. Once that's done, you may want to see if you have any BIOS updates pending on your laptop.

I reinstalled the OS (win10) via USB with media creation tool as you described. I also updated the BIOS before that.

I re-installed all drivers from Dell.com
