BSOD related to memory, tried every stick in every slot but to no avail. Safe Mode runs fine what could be the issue?

I got a BSOD (Page Fault In Non Paged Area), physically the screen showed lots of green and red and blue glitched artifacts. so I went to the safe mode to check, the following errors were given:

Reading up on the net I found it was related to the memory and people suggested that I try resizing the page (I changed it to automatic from None). Try running with just one module, so I took out both the modules and tried them in both slot (I took out RAM 1, tried in both slots 1 & 2. Took out RAM 2 tried it in both slots 1 & 2) but to no avail.

I'm typing this from safe mode, so the laptop works fine in safe mode.

What could be the problem?

I'll attach the XML and minidump files along with this message. Can anyone help me out? Will a clean install of windows 7 solve the issue? Thanks

Please do refer to this thread and one of our experts suggested a troubleshooting steps that worked with other who had the same problem. You last option is to run a complete factory reset with it if all these will not work.

have you tried a system restore to before this problem started as sounds like a software issue not hardware as safemode is ok?

Already did, I've even mentioned it in my post. Didnt work, well time for a reformat I think.

The computer belongs to a friend, he isn't the best guy to work with windows. He only knows how to work on a mac (only basic stuff, he sometimes cant even install programs on a mac!). I did try that first but there were no restore points, mainly on account that there was absolutely zero space on c.

that is what is probably causing the bsod as windows uses part of the hard drive for temporary purposes. how big is the hard drive & how loaded is it? download & run ccleaner off the net as I used that program to clean 12gigs of crap off a customer's hard drive as windows does not do that at all.

I did clean it but it didnt work. Since I didnt have any restore points I just backed up my data and formatted the drive. Now everything is fine. Could have been a driver issue.
