budget gaming laptop for students

i am a first year canadian CS student and i need help finding a laptop for school

doesn't have to be super high spec for gaming but i would like to be able to play most games without having to play on the lowest settings or having to deal with shitty FPS
my budget is between $500-$1000
does not have to be an i7 other than gaming i wont be doing to many high stress things so an i5 is fine (also fine with amd cpus)

crysis 3/BF3 on medium would be nice
