Budget Gaming Laptop

Looking to buy a new budget gaming laptop but I am confused between the following combinations;
1) Intel i3 4010U + nvidia 820m 2 gb
2) Intel i3 4010U + amd 8570m 2 gb
3)Amd a8 6410 + amd 8570M 2gb

Which would the best combination for gaming?

The AMD A8 6410 is acutally a little faster than the i3-4010u.

On the other hand, the 820M is the faster GPU over the 8570M.

This leads to the conclusion that option #1 would be your best choice for gaming of the three you presented.

if you are going to use it for gaming thn dun go for the U processors, they are power saving processors. go for the M processors if possible

More 820M benchmarks. It is a decent lower end mobile GPU.

Will i5 make any difference in increasing the game fps?

For gaming, an i5 will not make a difference over the i3 with the same GPU and you will not see any significant increase in FPS.

With the exception of CPU intensive strategy games. Civilization V is an example. A laptop with a Core i5 will mean that A.I. controlled nations will calculate their moves faster than a laptop with a Core i3. This becomes apparent later on in the game when are are more cities in each nation and as the number of military units increases.

Will I need an i5 processor or will it play fine on i3?

In mobile parts, both the i3 and i5 are dual core parts with hyperthreading (on desktops the i5's are quad core parts). As such, there will not be much performance difference between the two families on processors, especially on games.
