hello, yeah it seems the first one you linked has similar specs to acer aspireonly the CPU is about 1/2 as good as the i5 thats in the aspire.

the middle one is an ok machine too.

the prices for them all correspond to the hardware that's inside, I'm not sure what your question is...

Thanks! I missed this comparsion list of cpus. I saw that gpus are almost the same.

My question is more likely to be which NB has the best screen/battery/motherboard/cooling system/ram/hdd/case.

motherboards are the same
cooling system - no idea, especially first one
ram seems to be the same - 4gb, aspire laptop has it at higher clock rate 1333 as opposed to 1033 for other 2.

all hdds are the same ( I don't know which model / manufacturer they are so no comment on that)

case, well heh, look at the pictures and figure out what the case looks like. they are all plastic anyway.

I decided not to buy the first one because pentium is very weak compared to both i3 370m and i3 380m. So price will decide which to choose because I don't know exactly what the pricetag of Acer Aspire 5742G Xtreme GT is. But I think it's the same as the a Acer eMachine E732G where I live.

if Acer Aspire 5742G Xtreme GT is same price as eMachine E732G I'll be very surprised. But if that's the case get the aspire, it's a better machine out of 3 of them, if you cannot afford it, emachine will do fine for you
