budget laptop suggestions

the cost to repair my Lenovo laptop is in the hundreds of dollars worth, and is not worth fixing. I recently built a new system and was not expecting issues with my laptop. I need to replace my laptop with something budget friendly, and that will only be used for occasionally using the internet, checking emails, and Microsoft Office. It will be in a backpack so something rugged also would be preferable. Like I said, I have a system that I will be using for the majority of my work, but need something to take to class, the library, etc. any suggestions?
