Built in battery solutions

HI this may be a dumb question but I was just wondering if there was a product that can externally power a laptop so that the laptops built in battery wouldn't have to be used. I already know that their are external chargers to charge the laptop battery but I'm wondering if their is a way for me to use my laptop without having it be powered by the built in battery. Also I'm wondering if their is a way to to plug in my charger for my laptop but have it not charge the built in battery

Once the battery reaches full charge, the charger will not send any more juice to the battery, and will just be powering the laptop.
