is asus any good? sorry i'm new to laptops. Also is there anywhere to get one in person? I don't like buying online. It doesn't have to be new.

ASUS is a good brand.
As for seeing it personally, well i can't help you much on that since i don't live in Canada.

I agree. Shoot for the Asus. They are good laptops in terms of reliability.
