Question Can anyone tell me how to flash Nook HD+ step by step?

Nook HD+ is a 13-year-old tablet, and cannot run most of the apps nowadays but it is a good reader with Android 4.4.4. I have been using it as a reader for 10 years through not frequently and the battery is still good. I forget how to make a N2A SD card (I did it 10 year ago but now I forgot the steps). Can anyone tell me how to make it step by step? And how to flash the internal eMMC with Android 6.x? The newer Android version is too much for this device.

Given its age, you won't be able to update to anything close to a current installation, the hardware is just too old.

I figure out how to install Android 4.4.4 on a sd card and did it last night but still not sure how to safely install the Android 6.x to the internal eMMC of the device. What will happen If the installation fails? Will the device become a brick or still can be booted up with a sd card?

I'm not 100% certain. I suppose when the failure occurred during the process would have a large bearing on bricking or not. You should mentally be prepared for that to happen.
