Can HP Pavilion laptop be upgraded?

I recently found out that I still have my old laptop. It's an HP Pavilion ZD8000. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is anything I can do to maybe upgrade it.

I'm not looking for anything big maybe to be able to play games like Civilization V, stuff like that. I know I need to get a new battery for it if I'm gonna do anything with it, but other than that I think It's still ok.

the main upgrade you could do would be an ssd upgrade, getting some really quick storage, lightning quick boot times and a better experience.
Unfortunately I doubt you can do a GPU upgrade or CPU upgrade that is meaningful. I would highly recommend a new ssd, it would make it a nice portable machine for light googling and word processing. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news D:

not even sure thats got a sata hard drive in it to replace with a ssd

That is ancient. Nothing worthwhile you can do. A 11 year old laptop can only be expected to play 11 year old games.

the new battery assuming you could even get one would probably have cost more than the whole thing is worth
