can i change processor on laptop?

is it possible to change intel core i3 to a intel core i7 on a Toshiba satellite L830 laptop?

That Satellite L830 model appears to come with a Core i3 2367M CPU which stands on a BGA1023 platform. BGA1023 means that the processor is soldered to the motherboard so you won't be able to upgrade.

You can look into either upgrading the RAM to some faster modules or replacing the HDD with a SSD. I can say, based on my experience, that a SSD can really raise your laptop from the dead!!

You may want to call toshiba technical support and ask them directly, I don't think it would be possible or a wise idea.
