Solved! Can I connect a shotgun microphone with this adapter?

Hi! So I have a Panasonic fz80 digital camera which doesn't have a mic input. But I want to use a shotgun mic with it. My question is that will that work if I buy a micro usb female Jack male adapter? Can I connect my mic with this adapter?

According to the specs and Amazon question you can't use an external mic with that camera.

Nope, the USB won't recognise the mic as an input the camera firmware isn't written like that.

You should not need to use an adapter for the phone, if an adapter would work with the phone depends on the specs of the adapter and the phone. If the adapter states "for use with blah blah phone" and you have a blah blah phone, then sure.
