Can I leave my headphones in a room and record the conversations in the the room

I was just wondering if I could leave my Bose headphones in a room and record everything that went on in that room

I suppose you could use the microphone built-into the BOSE noise cancelling headphones as a recording device if you gutted the electronics and replaced them with different electronics. But that would render the headphones useless.
