Question Can I remove the HD from an ASUS G72GX computer and connect it externally to another laptop?

Actually, if the OS is windows 10, there is a high chance it'll just work assuming the machine you're plugging it into has the same type of bios. Windows 10 just installs the required drivers for the new pc. Not recommended though, and operating systems like windows7 just kinda break when transferred between computers most of the time.

And Windows often fails as well.
Win 10 is better than previous versions, but by no means 100%.

"likely to work" means "prepare for it to fail".
