Can i switch my note 4 to staright talk

A friend gave me her galaxy note 4 from version and i was wondering if I could switch my number with straight talk over to the note 4

It won't happen by simply switching the SIM card from one phone to another. You need to ask Verizon to close your account, pay them up to date so they can release the number to the other Service Provider.
